Continuing Education Designed for Adult Learners of All Abilities
The PLACE Program® provides engaging academic instruction for adults with intellectual disabilities and autism. We focus on learning experiences in world cultures, science, writing & communication, and math that encourage participation, curiosity, and growth.
Students can join live instructor-led classes or explore recorded on-demand curriculum designed for home learning or group/day programs. We also offer Letter from a Friend, a monthly letter subscription that fosters connection and curiosity outside the classroom.
Our live classes provide guided learning in a supportive environment where students can participate, ask questions, and learn alongside others. We offer in-person and online academic-year programming and virtual summer workshops.
Our curriculum library provides recorded instruction with supporting materials designed for easy home or group-based learning. This curriculum reflects the same engaging content as our live programs in a format that fits your schedule.
Friendships can be hard to come by, and getting mail is rare. Our monthly letter subscription shares everyday life, real stories of discovery and adventure, and a genuine sense of belonging sent straight to the mailbox. Each letter is written in accessible, age-appropriate language.
